On Thursday morning I escaped stormy New York (just barely) and headed West toward sunny, blue skies, zero humidity and mountainous landscapes - ah, the Pacific Northwest. The photo above was taken just before landing in Portland, OR. In the distance you can see Mount Hood and one of the Three Sisters.
